Joshua was born October 12th 1985 and at the age of just six was discovered to have an amazing gift-an innate ability to express his feelings by creating wonderful healing music. From then on Joshua continued to excel as a naturally gifted composer, performing first on the piano at hisschool'ssenior concertsand then from fourteen years old at International peace and reconciliation events.

Joshua started his industry training at 16 when he first studied music production at The Academy of Contemporary Music in Guildford England.

By eighteen a number of major international humanitarian organisations had got to hear about this uniquely gifted individual and Joshua started to receive commissions to compose and perform for them. Joshua had by now became the talk of London and performed a series of three concerts for his small but growing following. Amongst these was HM the Queen's personal and private assistant, Angela Kelly who came to his first concert. She then commissioned him to create a special piece of music as a Christmas present for Her Majesty The Queen. This was then presented to Her Majesty on a special CD along with his other works. He was then invited by Her Majesty to perform a private concert for her and her closest friends.

By now Joshua's reputation had soared to new heights and by the age of just 22 was a success both financially and by reputation with constant commissions from private individuals, corporate institutions, charities and advertising agencies.

One of these was Calibra Pictures, based in Soho, London. Film director, Joshua Newton was looking for someone unique to provide the music for his latest movie project, Iron Cross. starring the late Roy Sheidder. Joshua was hired and recently completed this movie score with the LSO and Roger Bellon...

The Worshipful Company of World Traders-
In early 2006 Joshua was asked by incoming Master, Mr. Jack Wigglesworth, to compose a special piece of music which was to become the anthem of The Worshipful Company of World Traders. The brief was to try and encapsulate in this one piece, the values of The Company and their philosophy of ' peace and inclusiveness through global trading. This work, called 'The Calling' was Joshua's greatest endeavour so far, taking many months to complete. It involved the inclusion of some rare ethnic instruments and the Company's own amateur choral choir. The Company considered the final result a 'musical masterpiece' and went on to commission one of Britain's leading silversmiths to mark this important work with a large trophy made from precious metals. The Calling was then included, with a selection of Joshua's other works, onto a special 12 track commemorative CD with the insert depicting aspects of the trophy, an explanation of the work of The Worshipful Company of World Traders, and an entire section dedicated to the composer Joshua Field and his amazing gift. On October 12th 2006, Joshua's 21st Birthday, the entire company met for a special banquet at The Drapers Hall where Joshua performed a selection of his compositions to a hushed and seated audience of 450 Freemen of The City of London. The Calling itself was played as Joshua conducted the Company Choir in-sync to his piece. A copy of the commemorative album was given to all present and the trophy hand-over received a very moving response. The entire body of Freemen sung 'Happy Birthday' to Joshua, who received appreciation for this work and a very special 21st birthday present, which he will always treasure.
